WHO WE ARE ?

The Food Heritage Foundation (FHF) is a non-profit organization aimed at the conservation of a significant part of Lebanon’s collective memory and indigenous knowledge through the preservation, documentation and revival of Lebanon’s traditional Food Heritage.
Since its inception the Food heritage Foundation has been partnering with women living in remote villages, archiving traditional recipes and providing a channel to sell larder products (mouneh) to urban consumers.

At the Foundation, we believe that by preserving our ancestor’s culinary treasures, we ensure a legacy for future generations. Food is a crucial marker of culture and identity. The best way to preserve old recipes in the face of globalization is to cook them, eat them and most definitely pass them on to the next generation.
